Emmonak School Student Council attended the 2026 AASG Spring Conference in Juneau from April 23–25. Students participated in regional meetings, connected with peers, and shared ideas on student leadership. They explored downtown Juneau, including a totem pole walk, visited the Alaska State Museum, and toured the Alaska State Capitol. The group also met with Rep. Neal Foster, who discussed future plans for Western Alaska and encouraged student involvement. The trip was a meaningful and inspiring experience for all.

The All Alaska Basketball Officials Camp (AABOC) will be held at the UAA Alaska Airlines Center: 📅 May 28–31 (Boys Camp) 📅 June 3–6 (Girls Camp) This camp offers hands-on training, mentorship from experienced officials, and a chance to build skills to officiate games in your community and across Alaska. ✨ No cost for the camp (participants are responsible for travel, housing, and meals) ✈️ Potential airfare support may be available through YDFDA in some cases ⚠️ Space is limited, and housing fills quickly If you’re interested—or know someone who would be a great fit (former players, coaches, or community members)—please reach out to bulak@lysd.org ASAP with your name, contact info, community, the camp you want to attend, and whether you need housing/travel assistance.
